Ben Stein wrote an interesting article recently, discussing the importance of hard work and perseverance. In the article he discusses how to work daily to achieve goals, and he gives an example of a person with goals but with no daily activities that lead him towards his goals. I see many parallels in this article to the process of investing. Many folks want to achieve great success in investing, but are not willing to make a daily investment of time and thought to progress toward their goals. Only by learning, doing, trying, failing, and improving do we achieve. Make a commitment to spend some time each day to learn something new, and to push on toward achieving your investing goals.
